LIFELINE In-Home Personal Response Service

Linda, Lifeline Coordinator

McKnight Terrace now offers a personal, emergency response system, called Lifeline, for seniors who prefer to live on their own, but want the comfort of knowing that help is never out of reach.

Feeling faint? Have you fallen down? Heard a threatening noise? Lifeline puts help as close as your fingertips. A personal help button goes with you wherever you go in your home — bath, bed, upstairs or down. Just wear it on your wrist or around your neck, so it will be handy if you need it.

A simple press of that button dials the Lifeline Response Center. Within seconds you are talking to a highly trained professional who will find out what kind of help you need. Then he or she will call a friend, neighbor or relative who can come to your home and make sure you're okay. Or, if you need more professional help, the Lifeline monitor will call for it immediately.

What a comfort it is to know that help is so easy to reach, and that someone is always standing by to help you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!

Lifeline is affordable, too — only about a dollar a day. That's a small price to pay for peace of mind and, certainly, less costly than live-in care or nursing home care.
